Headteacher's Welcome
Welcome to Otterbourne Church of England Primary School.
Through our core Christian values of Trust, Respect and Determination, we provide all children with the space to flourish, find inspiration, know themselves and find their place in the world.
On behalf of the staff and governors, I welcome you to our warm and caring Church of England school.
We are proud of our busy, bright and exciting learning environment, and through our website, we hope to give you an insight into our school. Within these pages you will see some of the exciting learning that takes place here and you will find all you need to know about being part of our wonderful school community.
Choosing a primary school is one of the most important decisions a parent or carer can make for their child as it is one of the first steps on their learning journey. We hope that by visiting us and reading about the learning experiences we offer our children, you will recognise that this is a caring and inclusive school, committed to high standards of achievement and proud of the successes we are able to celebrate.
The curriculum here is broad, engaging and creative. It is delivered in the classroom, in our beautiful outdoor environment and through a wide range of enrichment activities. We believe in giving children a ‘hands on’ approach to learning through which they can experiment and experience activities that inspire them to be curious and free-thinking. We aim to foster a love for learning enriched by knowledge and key life skills, and we help children to recognise the positive contributions that they and others are able to make to our ever-changing society.
We believe in working in partnership with parents, carers and members of our local community, as well as the wider community, in order to fulfil this aim. Together, we can give all of our children the experiences and opportunities they deserve and we can give them the firm foundations they need to be citizens in an ever-changing world.
Of course, our website is simply a window to our school, and you are warmly invited to visit to see what it is like to be a learner here at Otterbourne Church of England Primary School.
Please do contact the school office to make an appointment for a guided tour, or for further information. If you have any further questions or concerns, we would be more than happy to discuss these with you.
Should you prefer paper copies of any of our policies, they are also available by contacting the school office.
Thank you for visiting!
Mr Martin Geraghty
